Ford will trial 20 plug-in hybrid vans in London over a 12-month period in a bid to improve air quality and commercial productivity.

From autumn, the Transit PHEV vehicles will be used in fleets including the Metropolitan Police, Clancy Plant, Addison Lee, British Gas, and Transport for London, which is supporting the trial.

Production of the van is planned for 2019.
