UPS will trial an electric vehicle ‘smart grid’ in London from later this month.

The delivery company is set to deploy a local battery storage system at its base in Kentish Town that will charge its fleet across the city.

As part of the trial, UPS is also increasing its fleet of electric vehicles from 50 to 72.
