Mayor’s £11m fund to reduce emissions

20th July 2016

The Mayor of London has announced an £11m fund to reduce emissions and improve air quality in some of the Capital’s most-polluted boroughs.

Sadiq Khan’s plan includes expanding London’s ‘Low Emission Neighbourhoods’ – which will have strict penalties for the most-polluting vehicles, car-free days, green taxi ranks and reserved parking for the cleanest vehicles – from two to five in 2019.

In conjunction with LoCITY Champion UPS, freight delivery consolidation in the Westminster-Marylebone Low Emission Neighbourhood will also reduce the number of vehicles on the road.
