The UK’s innovation agency has launched its delivery plan for 2016-17 – which includes several highlights for the automative sector.

Innovate UK has confirmed that IDP13, the next instalment in the series of competitions funded by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV), will take place in Q3, while the next Connected and Autonomous Vehicles competition is scheduled for summer 2016.

It also contains pledges from Innovate UK to work with OLEV on innovation opportunities in heavy good vehicles, and for further competitions that could help develop manufacturing processes for automative products.
