New regulations made after NRMM consultation
The government will make new regulations following the outcome of its consultation into reducing emissions from non-road mobile machinery.
Offences and penalties will be introduced for engine manufacturers who use defeat strategies in their engines, and for those who do not comply with EU Regulation 2016/1628.
A new statutory instrument will be drawn up in line with the consultation findings, titled the Non-Road Mobile Machinery (Type-Approval and Emission of Gaseous and Particulate Pollutants) Regulations 2018.
The outcome was released on 28 June. Read more about it on the GOV.UK website.
