A £30 million fund is being offered to UK businesses for investment in low and zero-emission vehicle technologies.

Businesses can bid for a share of the funding, to cover up to 70% of project costs, through the Advanced Propulsion Centre.

Those applying must be led by a business working collaboratively with others, and must include an SME and a ‘tier 1’ supplier or vehicle manufacturer.

Projects must also be in the following areas: alternative propulsion systems, electric machines and power electronics, energy storage and energy management, lightweight vehicle and powertrain structures, and thermal propulsion systems.

The application process will be managed by Innovate UK. Entries open on 30 April and close on 27 June.
