LoCITY conference a hit

8th November 2017

LoCITY’s second annual conference took place at Alexandra Palace yesterday, with speakers from Transport for London, the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), and Innovate UK.

Held as part of the Freight in the City Expo, the conference gave fleet operators the chance to see a wide variety of low emission commercial vehicles and hear about a range of alternative fuels.

Alex Williams, director of city planning at Transport for London, spoke about the early introduction of the Ultra Low Emission Zone, while Denise Beedell from the FSB explained how the businesses she represents want to get behind LoCITY “very quickly”.

Alex Williams concluded the event with a panel discussion that included questions on the potential impacts of Brexit and the hypothetical scenario of a future Mayor of London changing current environmental policies.
