Hackney’s Harding scoops award
Hackney Council’s Norman Harding was named Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year at the GreenFleet Awards last night.
He overcame competition from Fife Council and Leeds City Council to win the award, which recognises the fleet manager who has best demonstrated innovation, dedication and a commitment to making carbon reduction a priority.
Hackney Council is aiming to have more than 40 electric vehicles in its fleet by the end of the financial year.
It recently took delivery of three Nissan e-NV200s and is aiming to eventually operate an entirely electric fleet.
Norman is actively engaged in LoCITY, having featured in our fuel testing case study video.
