Obligations response published
The Government has published its response to the recent consultation on amendments to the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligations Order.
The order sets a requirement on fuel suppliers to ensure that a minimum percentage of the UK’s transport fuel comes from renewable sources.
Consultation saw 126 individual responses and a further 480 responses as part of campaigns organised by bioethanol suppliers.
In its response document, the Government confirms it will increase the obligation level to 9.75 per cent in 2020, and to 12.4 per cent by 2032.
