Funding for new London EV points

8th August 2017

An EV charging point in use

An additional 1,500 electric vehicle charging points will be installed across London – after £4.48m of funding was allocated to 25 boroughs in the Capital.

Transport for London, London Councils and the Greater London Authority have together confirmed the investment, which Mayor Sadiq Khan said “will make a real difference” by “making electric vehicles an easier and more practical option for Londoners across our city”.

The new infrastructure will be in addition to the network of rapid-charge points that TfL is already due to install by the end of 2020.
