Operator wastes no time in training drivers
O’Donovan Waste Disposal has announced that it will deliver LoCITY Driving training to its drivers.
O’Donovan, which is also a LoCITY Champion, will provide the training through a workshop at its head office in Tottenham.
LoCITY Driving consists of a seven-hour classroom-based course that focuses on reducing emissions from vans and HGVs.
Two e-learning modules are also available for drivers and transport managers. The drivers’ module provides more information about fuel-efficient driving techniques and other strategies to help reduce costs and emissions. Transport managers can learn about the benefits and drawbacks of a range of alternatively fuelled vehicles.
Jacqueline O’Donovan, Managing Director at O’Donovan Waste Disposal, said: “This course not only benefits the O’Donovan drivers but will also reduce the impact of our commercial vehicles on the environment by sharing techniques and best practice.”
