Harrods turns back clock with electric van
The iconic London department store Harrods has added a Nissan e-NV200 to its delivery fleet – a century after it first used electric vehicles.
The adapted van, which has a range of up 106 miles on a single charge, will be used to make up to 50 deliveries per week.
Harrods used solid-tyred American Walker electric vans in 1919 and later built its own fleet of electric vehicles before the rise of the petrol engine.
